On Tuesday, 11th August 2015, we will be holding the third Symplectic North American Conference in Boston, Massachusetts. Registration is now open for the event which will be held at District Hall.

Time: 8:00am to 4:30pm
The event will be a mixture of speaker sessions and workshops, and is open to institutions currently using or implementing Elements, as well as institutions wishing to learn more about Elements. You don’t need a technical background to attend, although Symplectic will have technical expertise available during the event should you wish to discuss technical aspects of the product. We will be discussing topics such as Open Access, new Elements features, use cases, and more. It will be a great opportunity to see the latest developments in the Symplectic ecosystem, as well as meet and learn from other members of the community.

Workshop Session 1: Delegates will need to select one of the two tracks below to attend: Option a) Configuring institutional reports The Symplectic team will provide an introduction to configuring institutional defined reports in Elements, including the creation of custom CVs, individual and group activity reports Option b) Repository Tools Configuration and OA Monitor During this workshop, members of the Symplectic team will explain how more recent versions of Elements can be configured to further support institutional and funder open access policies. The session will also explain how subscribers of Symplectic’s new Open Access Monitor can track compliance against their own institutional open access policies. There should also be time to discuss planned/desired enhancements to Symplectic’s existing repository tools. |
