The outputs and metadata surrounding research present an information management challenge: how can we control and manage our research and scholarly information, how can we make it discoverable so it can be utilised to the best benefit of society, and how can we track and gain actionable insight into it?
Research administrators, the unsung heroes behind the scenes, are celebrated today on Research Administrators Day for their tireless dedication, unwavering commitment, and vital role in advancing the realms of science and knowledge.
Set up by our friends at NCURA, Research Administrator Day is an occasion created to recognise the role of the research administrator and celebrate the contributions they make in powering the research ecosystem. It’s not just about acknowledgement; it’s about celebrating the driving force that they represent in the world of research.
Research administrators juggle complex tasks, from managing grants and budgets to ensuring compliance with regulations. They promote and enable efficiency, ensuring that researchers can focus on their work without unnecessary distractions.
